Role Description

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Engineer for the Pune/PCMC region who will be responsible for promoting and selling Mastercam software solutions to manufacturing industries. This role involves working closely with potential and existing clients to understand their technical requirements and providing tailored Mastercam solutions to enhance their manufacturing processes.

This role is well-suited for individuals who are passionate about technology and its applications in improving manufacturing processes, and who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Development: Identify and target potential clients in the manufacturing sector within the Pune/PCMC region. Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to expand the sales of Mastercam products.

• Product Demonstration: Conduct detailed demonstrations of Mastercam software, showcasing its capabilities and benefits tailored to the specific needs of each client.

• Sales Targets: Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets. Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to improve results.

• Market Analysis: Continuously analyze the regional market trends and competitor activity to adjust sales strategies and enhance product positioning.

• Training and Support: Assist in the organization and delivery of training sessions for clients to ensure effective use of Mastercam software via the Technical team.

Key Result Areas (KRAs)

• Sales Performance: Achieve defined sales quotas and targets within the designated territory.

• Client Acquisition and Retention: Increase the client base through effective lead generation and conversion activities. Maintain high retention rates through excellent customer service and support.

• Market Penetration: Enhance the presence and penetration of Mastercam products in the Pune/PCMC region’s manufacturing sector.

• Customer Satisfaction: Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through prompt resolution of issues and proactive customer engagement.

Required Sales Acumen

• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of CAD/CAM software, preferably with specific expertise in Mastercam. Ability to grasp and solve complex technical issues in manufacturing processes.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly present technical information and persuade potential clients.

• Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to close deals effectively while maintaining profitable margins.

• Customer-Oriented Approach: Ability to build strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and providing solutions that meet those needs.

• Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop strategic sales plans based on industry trends and market dynamics.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Keen problem-solving skills to address client issues with effective solutions and a proactive approach.

• Field Sales: Ability to meet clients and partners face to face for direct sales. Includes considerable travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering with considerable experience in related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of CNC machining and CAM software is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Min 2-3 years experience in similar role is a must.
  • Experience in the Aerospace, Automotive, Toolmaking, or Medical industry is a plus
